Gav's EV Conversion 15 - Installing the Main Cables
Gav's EV Conversion 15 - Installing the Main Cables
Visit www.EVsecrets.com & grab my new EV Conversion book + video package! The electric car has power! After 2 days of slithering about underneath the car installing cables and cleaning the garage floor with my back, I've finally finished installing the main cables for the electric car! The last 10 minutes were the most nerve-wracking as we fought the urge to turn the key and forced ourselves to check all our connections one by one. In the end, we connected everything and heard the sound of that amazing Curtis 1231C Controller springing into life! The car was jacked up at this point so We did a test spin of the motor, then a test spin of the car in gear (with the wheels off the ground). It all went GREAT! The next video will show us taking the car onto the road for it's initial test drive! Stay Tuned!

A Ride on Wellington's Cable Car - New Zealand
A Ride on Wellington's Cable Car - New Zealand
The Cable Car service opened in 1902 - it runs from Lambton Quay, Wellington's main shopping street, to the suburb of Kelburn. It is particulary popular with university students as it provides easy access from the inner city to Victoria University. From the top, one gets an overall view of Wellington and its harbour. In 1979 both cars were replaced with two modern swiss-made units.

Screentalk: Rob Tapert on NZ On Screen (part 1/2)
Screentalk: Rob Tapert on NZ On Screen (part 1/2)
American producer Rob Tapert talks to NZ On Screen about hearing that New Zealand was an undiscovered production treasure in a studio carpark and he discusses the internationally popular syndicated TV programmes that hes brought here (Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules) that have helped realise that vision. These productions were instrumental in building the skill base of the NZ cast and crew. Many NZ actors found fame through their characters, particularly Lucy Lawless (now married to Tapert) and Michael Hurst (Iolas in Hercules). Tapert talks about his beginnings in the industry: dropping out of grad school in Michighan (where, Hollywood might as well have been as far away as New Zealand) to make films with long time business partner and Hollywood director, Sam - Evil Dead, Spider-Man - Raimi. Tapert also discusses: - Making blood mixture on their first feature, Evil Dead. - The inherent difference between feature films and television. - His involvement in Hercules and the challenges of juggling global productions. - His commitment to local cast and crew and the unlikely inspiration for Hercules cast (Desperate Remedies). - His inspirations for Hercules spin-off Xena and the internets influence on Xena becoming a pop culture icon. - Why local actors and directors have succeeded on these productions, but NZ writers havent managed the crossover and why post-production fx were done in the US. Rob continues to bring new productions to NZ, and is about to cast a new adult ...
